About Us
The EZ Lawncare Companion idea came to me as I was strugglin g to
find solutions on proper lawn care techniques. I'm cheap so I
didn't want to pay the professionals to come out and take care of my
yard (though I did try it one summer and was a bit disappointed with
the results), but I also wanted to have a lawn that looked like the
professionals.
I had experience working with lawns all throughout my childhood.
I had mowing jobs for some of the neighbors and basically performed
all lawn care duties for some of the older people who lived nearby.
I think I did alright...the lawns looked nice to me. Not until
it was time to take care of my own yard, did I finally
decide to begin to do some research. I talked with the Lawn Care
professionals who would come by and try to sell their service (though
I was just digging up information from them, not as interested in
having them do anything for me), I talked with neighbors who had yards
that I was impressed with, and I poured through hours and hours of
documents on the internet. Let me tell you...that wasn't the
most enjoyable thing to do!
After 7 years of research and talking, along with trying out the
ideas that I found, I finally had a yard that I was happy with and one
that was getting compliments by those people who I had once looked to
for advice. In fact, they were now asking me for advice!
The rolls had been reversed! I knew I was doing it
right when an elderly couple who lived a few houses down, and
basically lived in their yard, came by and said I had a "lawn full of
green gold!".
So that's when I decided to take what I learned and give that
knowledge to those who are struggling like I once did. I also
wanted to present the information in an easy to read, enjoyable format
because, believe me, some of the university papers I read through were
difficult to understand...it was almost as if you had to have a PHD to
comprehend! Not as easy as just reading the Sunday comics!
I hope you find this website informative and enjoyable. The
site is still relatively new so I'm sure you'll see changes in the
next few months as I try to add more and more information. I'd
love to hear any ideas or thoughts you may have! After all, this
site is designed for you to help give you
